ハルジオン

This weekend, I listened to the song ハルジオン by YOASOBI. I am a fan of their music but I hadn't heard this song yet. I was surprised at how many grammar structures I recognized in the song such as “~すぎる” and “~と思う.” 

Overall, the song was upbeat and I really enjoyed the piano in the backing track. The vocals were also very good, the singer's voice was soft yet she had a good range. She had very clear pronounciation, which made it easier to pick up vocabulary.

I looked up the English translation of the song and found out that it is about a breakup and learning to move forward from it into a bright future. This explains the song’s tone and helps me understand and translate the song on my own as I listen.

Some new phrases I heard were “私だけか..,” the ending “~れば,” and several uses of the word “あなた” which I believe means “you.”
