Sonny Boy
This weekend, I watched up to episode 7 of an anime called "Sonny Boy." This anime is about a group of high schoolers who get trapped in interdimensional travel. The main character, Nagara, has the power to create new dimensions but no one can figure out how to get back home. As if that's not enough, some of the students begin to develop superpowers. There are different "rules" for each dimension that they figure out along the way. Overall, it is a very interesting if not somewhat confusing show. It teaches about growing up, interpersonal relations, standing up for yourself, and human nature.
As a result of my Japanese study, I was able to recognize different vocab words and sentence structures as well as uses of the particles we've learned. I also enjoy picking up new vocab by connecting the subtitles to the Japanese words they speak. I was able to acquire some cultural knowledge, for instance when characters would say sorry, excuse me, or thank you differs a bit between languages.
