This episode was the first after a break in the series, so I was very excited to watch it. It had a new opening song, which was very upbeat and fun. The premise of this show is that a spy, assassin, and mind-reading child all become a "pretend" family for their own hidden reasons. The parents take their young daughter Anya to get a dog as a reward for getting an award in school. However, spy "father" Loid Forger is called away because his organization finds out about a terrorist attack planned by using bomb dogs. It then turns out that one of those dogs can see the future. Anya meets this dog and decides to go after it, but accidentally gets caught by the terrorist group. However, the dog saves her and helps her escape.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode because it was filled with action and comedy, like most of the episodes in this show. I'll probably keep watching after making this post!
As far as outcomes from my Japanese study go, I recognized the word for "home" in the opening sequence. I also recognized the word for "dog," "new," "small," 'dirty," "student," "scary," and "cute." It's a good exercise to try to match the Japanese audio to the English subtitles, and I do feel as though I've made progress in being able to understand anime.
