My Hero Academia

- 爆豪 勝己: Rising
This week, I watched a new episode of the superhero anime My Hero Academia. It was very gory and dark, which is surprising because the show used to seem to me more like a kid show. It had a very hopeless-seeming tone, but there were also moments of triumph, like when the main character unlocked a new power. There was a lot of character development as well - Bakugo, the character who bullied the main character, revealed that he wanted to atone for his actions and sacrificed himself for the main character when he needed it most.
My Japanese study outcomes were clear as I watched this episode, because I was able to recognize the katakana and hiragana words that were on screen. I also recognized many words such as "now," "that," "to say," "I don't know," and more. I also recognized some grammatical structures such as the use of particles like は, が, andと. I also recognized some use of the past tense.
Below, I attached the opening video because I really like the art in the opening. It's very reminiscent of Marvel/DC comic books.
